We’d like to introduce our June volunteer of the month, Jean Mitchell! This lovely lady began volunteering at the shelter in January of this year. Her specialty is making sure all the dogs have weekly exercise. No matter if it’s cold or hot outside, Jean arrives ready to make sure each dog has a chance to be free from their kennel. She loves the time with the shelter pets and enjoys talking with them on her strolls as it’s therapy for them as much as for her. Jean is also a wonderful assistant when we have large groups wanting to walk dogs. She is a great guide to new volunteers who are seeking to follow in her footsteps as a shelter dog walker!
