Our Mutt Strut is the area's must attend event for animal lovers!

Come join us for a 1 mile walk/jog around Beech Lake’s scenic paved walking path that includes a small bridge, two hills,and great views of Beech Lake as you walk or run across the spillway – and bring your dog!

Saturday May 11th, starting at 11 am we'll have food, fun, and furry fellowship!

Bounce Houses  -  Live Entertertainment -  Raffles & Silent Auction  -  Cake Walk & Cake Auction 

Fun Run  -  Adult & Junior Cornhole Tournament - Food & Refreshments


So, grab your tennis shoes and your four-legged friend and enjoy a day strutting your mutt for our

2024 Mutt Strut & Pawpalooza benefiting the Frances Hensley Animal Shelter!

Cornhole Tournament  (Adult and Junior teams 10 & Under)

Signin/Registration 11-12 noon
Event begins at 12 Noon

Mutt Strut Guidelines

Here’s what you are agreeing to when you come:

By participating in the Fhhas Mutt Strut 2024, neither you,your guests, nor your pets hold Fhhas for any injury, accident, or other malady that we may sustain while participating in the Mutt Strut event. 

By participating in Mutt Strut 2024, each owner agrees to the following rules: 

  • The entry fee covers one dog per registered person.

  • Only one dog allowed per handler. Junior Levee Loper cannot have a pet companion and must be accompanied by an adult.

  • All children must be accompanied by parent or guardian. 

  • All dogs must be on a standard  leash (retractable leashes are not allowed). 

  • All dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, Proof of rabies vaccination is required at check-in (current tag or certificate). 

  • No Female dogs in any stage of heat

  • Fhhas reserves the right to prohibit participation of any dog displaying aggressive behavior toward people or other dogs. 

  • Participants must clean up after their dogs. 

  • No training collars including choker or pinch collars 

Prizes awarded to the top three pledge/donation participants!!

Medals Awarded to participants with most laps in each category!
